EN9 Steel – SAE-AISI 1055 is classified as carbon steel. EN9 is unalloyed medium carbon steel (BS 970 070M55) with good tensile strength compared to normal mild steel. EN9 steel is suitable for all round engineering applications, which require higher strength such as manufacturing shafts, studs, bolts, connecting rods, screws, rollers. Welding, forming and machining of EN9 round bars can be easily done.
